Life
- Tutors
In Primary the class teacher spends most
of the day with the pupils and he/she
is the main reference point for them.
The teacher is the link between the school
and the parents.
Each Secondary class has their own tutor
who also usually teaches them at least
one of their subjects. The tutor accompanies
the pupils through their personal growth
and advises them in their studies and
school life in general. This guidance
task takes place mainly through the tutorial
lessons. Tutors and pupils meet daily
to discuss different topics that affect
their school life. In addition to this,
every week, they discuss diverse topics
of relevance to their personal and human
development.

- Class Representatives
Each Secondary class has two representatives,
one boy and one girl, who represent the
group and channel their opinions. The
representative is an important figure
in the school organisation as they are
able to transmit the opinion of the group,
and this teaches them to work as a group
and to participate democratically. The
class representatives have frequent meetings
with the Head of Studies.
- Trips and Cultural Visits
At Caxton College we organise
a wide range of trips to exhibitions,
museums, historical monuments, official
institutions etc. The aim of these visits
is to reinforce the knowledge acquired
in class and to contrast it with real
life.
In addition, we organise trips for each
year group to reinforce their knowledge
in other areas such as sports (eg winter
or aquatic sports), different cultures
etc.
- Exchange Trips with Foreign
Schools
The school takes part in exchange
trips with the following schools:
- Atherley
School – In Southhampton, England.
- Gymnasium
Möckmhül – In Möckmhül
, Germany
- Behaviour Guidelines
At Caxton College we offer an
all round education; as well as academic
training we also concentrate on personal
education.
An
important part of this education is
achieved through our system of behavioural
guidelines. These are designed to
help foster respect for ones own work
and the work of others, they promote
the use of good manners and encourage
a responsible attitude towards responsibilities
and duties. These guidelines are reinforced
daily through the teamwork of the
education community; teachers, assistants,
management and of course parents.

It is very important
to instill good behaviour through positive
reinforcement in the form of rewards such
as certificates and prizes in recognition
of achievement.
The school also develops individual monitoring
programmes with personal objectives for
those pupils who need to improve specific
areas of behaviour or attitude.
- Uniform
Uniform creates a
bond of belonging with the school and
in addition creates an atmosphere of order
and tidiness.
Pupils in the sixth form do not wear uniform
but they do have to follow a dress code.
