The Educational System

At Caxton College we follow the British National Curriculum and the Spanish Curriculum for Spanish Language and Social Studies. The aims we hope to achieve for our pupils are as follows:

1. A high level of academic and personal education.

2. Perfect command of the English and Spanish languages and cultures.

3. Knowledge and understanding of Valencian traditions and customs.

4. The formation of habits that will serve them well in their adult life such as punctuality, independence, looking after personal effects, cleanliness etc.

5. Establishing values such as caring for the environment, showing respect to others, solidarity etc.

The school has:

· An infants department with approximately 230 pupils between the ages of 1 and 4.

· A Primary Department with approximately 450 students between the ages of 5 and   10.

· A Secondary Department with approximately 520 students between 11 and 18 years   of age.

A total of about 1.200 pupils.

El número máximo de alumnos por clase es de 25. En los cursos superiores y en las asignaturas optativas los grupos son más reducidos.

In addition, the school offers the possibility of studying other languages as an extracurricular activity, these include Italian, Chinese, Japanese, French etc.
