Primary education at CAXTON COLLEGE is
centred around:
- Dynamic learning
systems based on the child’s action
and experimentation.
- An all round education,
emphasising the importance of artistic
and musical understanding, etc.
- The acquisition
of solid academic knowledge which will
be the foundations for future studies.
Our aim is to provide the development
of cognitive, affective, motor and social
skills, as well as the ability to communicate
and think in a logical way. The pupils
acquire a knowledge of the environment
through their own observations and practical
experiences.
In Primary, in addition to the class teacher
the subjects of Physical Education, Music,
Spanish Language and Culture are taught
by specialist teachers.
All areas of the curriculum are taught
in English except Spanish Language and
Social Studies which are taught on a daily
basis to all year groups.
