    • We love Maths!
    • 13.12.2011 We love Maths!
Primary pupils had a numbertastic maths day last Wednesday with all sorts of fun activities. Year 4 and Year 6 made the day into a charity event and raised a brilliant 213,32 euros in change. They lined up the coins to measure them with the coins from one class measuring more than 13 meters! It was quite a challenge counting up all the coins at the end of the day to find the total!
Some year groups made delicious number biscuits which Miss Stenhouse and Miss Sayce enjoyed with a cup of tea. All in all it was a fun, productive day!

Today we received a ‘Healthy School’ certificate from “Padres y Colegios” magazine which we are very proud of! Congratulations to all staff and pupils!

    • 22.11.2011 Caxton College Finalists in International Competition

Six teams from Caxton College entered the 11th International Forum of the University of Navarra with the topic, "Corruption & Development".
A total of 64 teams sent their essays and presentations in October and these were evaluated by Professors from the organizing institution.

After an exhaustive evaluation process, only 25 teams went through to have the opportunity to compete at the Forum in Pamplona on 17th & 18th Nov 2011. Caxton College had two teams selected for this round and were up against teams from 20 High Schools around the world.
Caxton College’s teams comprised of the following students:

      Team 1
      Ana Alicarte
      Alexei Kovalenko
      Juan Gramaje
      Mayo Torres

      Team 2
      Carla Delgado Vargas
      Ana Domingo Viana
      Candela Gascó de la Torre

The second day of the event saw Caxton College Team 2 selected as one of the four finalists. Tensions were high in the team as they presented in front of the whole forum and three eminent judges. They gave an excellent presentation after which they were questioned rigorously.

The Caxton College Team was awarded 3rd Prize in this spectacular international event therefore gaining them first position in Spain.
