“60 hours of English a month, workshops, sports, international environment…Have fun & learn English in the summer!”

During July and August, within the Caxton College facilities, intensive English courses catering for all levels take place. The courses are organised into age specific groups between 3 and 18 years of age.

The aim is to “immerse” the student in an international environment, with native English speaking teachers but without forgetting that summer should be a fun time. Because of this, the courses contain three hours per day of English classes combined with fun workshops and sports (cooking, flamenco, karate, chess, arts and crafts, rugby, drama etc), as well as swimming every day in the school swimming pools.

There are also optional classes for tennis, swimming and I.T.

Every year students come from Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Bulgaria and many other places to take part in our summer courses, giving us the same international environment as our boarding service. These students stay with host families, or if there is a group of them they stay in student halls of residence.

The day begins at ten o’clock in the morning and finishes at five o’clock in the afternoon (with an additional childcare service, allowing children to arrive at half past eight in the morning). In addition, the summer courses provide a transport service by bus which covers different areas in Valencia and Castellón.

The daily lunch is included in the price and provides all the necessary nutrition following a Mediterranean diet. Also, kitchen & dining room staff ensure that students with specific diets or allergies are catered for.

At the end of the course students receive a certificate & list of their achievements and then participate in a show where they demonstrate all they have learned. Parents also have the opportunity to meet the tutors to talk about what their children have done during the course.
