Thanks to our experience teaching tennis and the increased amount of children who play this Olympic sport, Caxton College offers intensive Tennis courses during the summer under the title ‘Tennis Summer Camp’. This year, we also will be offering a new Tennis and Language Summer Camp.
The objective is not just to improve the technique and skills of the players but to also make them into excellent sportsmen and helping them develop values such as companionship or respecting others, both during their daily training as well as in the tournaments which will be organized. The course also teaches them about the importance of personal hygiene and a healthy diet.
The course, given by our specialised teachers, combines theory with practice. Students will do warm up exercises, training, and also use tennis simulators. They will watch videos to study how the professionals play and complete homework related to the world of tennis.
The children will learn to improve their skills, reinforce their knowledge and abilities to interpret the game, choosing the best option at any given moment. The school can also secure a Federal Licence for students to participate in official tournaments.
The Tennis Summer Camp takes place from the last week in June until the 5th August July and children can be enrolled for courses lasting two to six weeks. Given that it is summer, the daily program also includes swimming in our outdoor pools.
