New boarders take part in an ‘Induction Day’. During the day, the school Directors will introduce them to all the people responsible for their welfare during their stay at the school: the Secondary Coordinator, the Heads of Year, their tutors and the boarding department team.
They also receive a
welcome pack which contains the
rules by which they should abide, practical information about life in Spain and relevant tourist information.
The tutor assigns every boarder a ‘buddy’, a classmate who helps them integrate with the rest of the class and accompanies them around the school so that they can find their way around during their first few days.
In order to encourage friendships between all the boarders, the boarding department organizes many activities which get them together in a way more enjoyable: ‘tea/ice cream parties’, trips…
Parents receive regular reports with personal and academic information about their children (from the perspective of both tutors and host families).
Those responsible for boarders also carry out regular meetings with students to see how things are going and solve any possible problems or issues they might have.
