MONITORING BOARDING STUDENTS

The boarding department maintains direct contact with the parents of boarders to keep them informed of each child’s academic and personal development.

When the school year begins a few days after the students are welcomed, parents are sent an ‘adjustment e-mail’ which informs them of their child’s behaviour at the beginning of their stay and how they are adjusting to the Spanish lifestyle.

In addition, parents receive regular reports which always cover three areas: schoolwork (explained by their tutor and teachers), the host family’s opinion on their relationship at home and finally a summary from the viewpoint of the person responsible for boarder’s welfare; who the boarders go to when they have any kind of problem or concern.

These reports –which include grades, photos and commentary, are sent approximately every two months. Upon receiving the reports, parents can always contact the boarding department to try and solve any concern or problem when necessary.
